Made a tres leches cake. It is from scratch! Even the whipped cream. By hand.

Not Likely

Improbable things I would like:

  • I want vitamin C synthesis restored to my liver.
  • I’d like my flat feet and shoddy ears and eyes and nose all fixed.
  • Abolition of all forms of “intellectual property”
  • Cure for the common cold!
  • Dissolution of the U.S. federal government. Yeah that’s right. California will do just fine without you, feds. OK well it’s been better with Obama. So far.
  • While we’re at it, legalization (or at least decriminalization) of all drug use. I don’t really care if manufacture and distribution remain illegal.
  • Ponies for everyone!
  • Widespread adoption of municipal wifi. Yeah!
  • Stricter regulation on what may be considered a valid contract. I’m hit with a $200 fee because changing my rate plan extended the contract? What? No, I didn’t get a subsidized phone.
  • Also let’s cut it with this “minutes” nonsense. Data is data, let’s act like it.
  • Sustainable living! Worldwide!
  • Klondike. Bars.
  • I wish people could be nicer! This includes me actually!
  • Miniature elephants for domestic pets.
  • Miniature dolphins too.
  • Improved food nutrition. Yeah that means no more big agribusiness.
  • Skylights everywhere.
  • Less reliance on things. Like cars. I hate cars so much.
  • Complete eradication of: mosquitos, ticks, fleas, lice, crippling/fatal diseases, people who give you chunks of wasabi and say “try this it will be good!”
  • Pumpkin bread whenever I want it

That’s my list, no more, no less, and we would have a perfect world.

Sugar!

The body works very hard to keep blood glucose in a narrow range, through careful administration of insulin. Too high and all kinds of damage can be done, too low and all kinds of death can occur.
