This is the sun setting over Grand Lake, Oklahoma. It was unreasonably humid, and I couldn’t take any pictures for a while because the camera fogged up immediately, but this shot eventually came out of the ordeal. This is an example of success through volume - I took quite a few shots before something good came out.

Water can be tricky to photograph. Do I use a long shutter? Short? How does one capture both feelings of serenity and movement at the same time? The upside is that all of these things make water fun to capture. Best advice is to simply try different things. Here’s another similar shot that developed differently:
